Description:

• Evening Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm
• Evening Shift Differential: $3.00
• Rotating weekends and holidays required

Position Summary:

• Collects and/or processes specimens in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Ensures that timed and STAT procedures are completed in a timely manner.
• Registers patient/specimen, properly identifies and verifies patient demographics and financial data.
• Understands location codes, patient demographics, insurance codes, physician codes, referred unaffiliated doctors, diagnosis codes and group accounts.
• Verifies outpatient orders, locations, diagnosis and doctors match the physician script.
• Receiving and patient registration duties or special skills sets determined by the Manager.

Education Requirements

• High School diploma required.
• Computer knowledge preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Experience Requirements

• One year of related experience preferred.

Pay Range: $19.20 - $24.70

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
