Salary:Starting at $45.00 per hour, based on experience

Overview:Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at the Paramus School District. The ideal candidate will work with elementary and middle school students, including those in ABA programs, providing speech and language therapy services in a school setting. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students while working within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to preschool through 8th grade students, including those with ABA needs
  • Conduct speech and language assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide progress reports
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to create and implement therapeutic plans
  • Manage and maintain case load effectively, ensuring students receive appropriate services
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and other school-based team activities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid State License in Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience working with elementary and middle school-aged students, including ABA students, is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Compassionate and patient approach to working with students with varying needs

Additional Information:

  • Full-time, in-person position
  • Immediate start with an end date of December 20, 2024 (with the possibility of extension)
  • Hours: 8:45 AM 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
