A nonprofit organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to join one of their Preschools on a Part-time basis. About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: 3 days a week
- Hours: 8am to 2:30pm
- Setting: Preschool
***The qualified professional in this role will receive orientation to the note taking system prior to starting. Clinical mentorship and guidance is also offered, as needed. This has potential to continue into the summer program and to return for following school year for the right candidate!*** Responsibilities: The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for:
- Helping students access the academic environment and participate to the maximum extent possible in educationally related activities
- Evaluating and treating students with disabilities
- Maintaining daily progress and attendance records
- Writing progress reports and attending IEP meetings
- Recommending adaptive equipment, environmental accommodations or assistive technology
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (Open to new graduates!)
- NYS Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- NYS TSSLD
Desired Skills:
- 6+ months of experience working with the Pediatric population
