Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Splunk Engineer to join our IT team. The Splunk Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Splunk infrastructure, including data ingestion, dashboard creation, and alerting frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Splunk architecture and deployment best practices, with hands-on experience in deploying Splunk in large-scale environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Splunk infrastructure in a distributed environment.
  • Design and develop Splunk queries, dashboards, and reports based on business requirements.
  • Integrate data sources into Splunk from various platforms (network devices, servers, applications, etc.).
  • Monitor the health of Splunk infrastructure and perform routine maintenance and performance tuning.
  • Implement and manage Splunk apps and add-ons to extend Splunk functionality.
  • Collaborate with security and IT operations teams to develop use cases and content for Splunk.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Splunk-related issues.
  • Stay current with Splunk product updates, new features, and industry trends.
  • Document Splunk architecture, processes, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Splunk Engineer or similar role with hands-on experience in deploying and managing Splunk solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Splunk architecture, components, and best practices.
  • Experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automation and data manipulation tasks.
  • Familiarity with data ingestion techniques and log management best practices.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security concepts, and system administration.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
