Description: Sponsor Funded Professional, NISS Program Advisor: NISS Coach Division of Student SuccessNational Institute for Student SuccessThe National Institute for Student Success at Georgia State University (NISS) is dedicated to helping colleges and universities identify and resolve institutionally-created barriers to equity and college completion. Through diagnostic services and practitioner-led coaching, collectively known as NISS high-touch services, the Institute enables campus leaders to implement proven student-success systems and data-driven interventions and to enact systemic change to institutional processes and structures.The NISS Program Adviser (NISS Coach) will support the organization and management of customized support for NISS partner institutions through diagnostic analysis, cohort coaching and individual consulting. The position provides ongoing, personalized attention and program implementation assistance based on each institution's unique characteristics and challenges. This includes supporting the development and delivery of a customized diagnostic analysis and playbook specific to the partner institution. NISS coaches will also provide consulting services to a variety of institutional clients through regular facilitated working sessions, helping guide peer-to-peer and practitioner-led learning opportunities and discussions around program implementation support, leadership and campus culture, and strategic planning for one or more student success initiatives.WHAT MAKES

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO•Support the development and delivery of the NISS diagnostic analysis and playbook to partner institutions•Lead client through NISS lifecycle of the diagnostic process (onboarding, discovery, refinement, and recommendations)•Evaluate and interpret institutional quantitative data via IPEDS, surveys and other data sources•Assist and/or lead the development of a diagnostic analysis that identifies key challenges in enrollment processes for partner institutions•Recommend and explain institutional changes that impact student progression, retention and graduation, grounded in observable metrics and realizable for partner institutions•Facilitate weekly check-in meetings with partner institutions throughout the diagnostic process•Develop a comprehensive program implementation plan based on playbook recommendations delivered to partner institutions•Work with subject matter experts to develop and deliver program curriculum and learning modules, including seminars and workshops•Maintain NISS program files and prepares a variety of reports on institutional partner learning and program implementation outcomes.•Conduct assessments of program effectiveness and create summary reports about program activities and related events•Serve as liaison and primary point of contact for institutional partners and cohort participants•May assist in research conducted on NISS programs and initiatives•Perform other related duties as assignedExperience in student success programs (academic advising, academic support, etc.), professional development, data analytics, program implementation, or other higher education administration programs.

Qualifications:Minimum Hiring Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.Preferred Hiring Qualifications: •Effective teaching and counseling skills•Ability to develop and conduct training workshops that can be delivered in-person and online•Ability to work with a diverse group of higher education professionals from executive leadership to frontline personnel•Knowledge of best practices in student success innovations•Understanding of equity gaps in higher education and a passion for continued learning and student success•Engaging personality and ability to deliver analysis, feedback, and instruction in multiple modalitiesEffective oral and written communication skills•Knowledge of program assessment techniques•Knowledge of data principles, practices and methodologyAbility to coordinate multiple initiatives at the same time•Experience with data visualization and presentation in a comprehensive and informative manner•Knowledge of data administration in higher education.•Effective time management, customer service, analytical, and organizational skills
