Job Description:
SummaryThis paid internship will provide support for members of the Sponsorship Department and Corporate Sponsors before, during, and immediately following the 2025 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. This includes tracking and fulfilling assets for all Sponsors and Donors, coordinating activation logistics, and serving as day of point of contact for sponsorship team. Pre-show and Showtime documentation/photography will be required.Pre-Show: (January 6th - February 26th)
  • Sponsorship Asset Packets and Pickup: Responsible for compiling all hospitality assets (badges, parking passes, performance tickets, etc.) and other sponsorship information (handbooks, rules and regulation guides, contact information, etc.) to be delivered to Sponsors. This will require updating and cross-checking sponsor deliverables trackers, as well as documenting package contents and pickup.
  • Review all aspects of sponsorship contracts, past show layouts, and mapping documents in preparation for the 2025 Show, increasing personal familiarity with all assets of Show and how sponsorships fit into entire production.
  • Assist Sponsorship Department with large Sponsor Stadium Review meeting, hosted inside club level of NRG Stadium.
  • Support Sponsorship Fulfillment Team with compiling all necessary data for Activation and Rodeo Acts of Kindness calendars and tracking documents.
  • Assist in documenting/photographing, and implementing Stadium changeover and set-up, as it pertains to sponsorship signage, including concourse signage and 6-month Show signage.
  • Assist with all sponsorship aspects of Rodeo Roundup, hosted in Downtown Houston prior to the start of Show.
  • Assist with all sponsorship aspects of Rodeo Run, HLSR sanctioned 5K/10K through downtown Houston
Showtime: February 27th - March 23rd
  • Responsible for daily logging of all electronic signage reporting from Studio Department as continued proof of performance projects. Must be proficient in Excel data entry.
  • Assist Sponsorship Team with Rodeo Acts of Kindness activation throughout each day of the show and during each nightly performance. Rodeo Acts of Kindness includes in-stadium promotional seat upgrade, which will be the sole responsibility of this position.
  • Document and photograph sponsor signage, activations, and Rodeo Acts of Kindness throughout the BBQ and Rodeo grounds, as well as offsite sponsor promotions as need. This includes all Endzone, Centerhung, and LED ribbon board exposures.
  • Support HLSR and Sponsor social media efforts by assisting in tracking, day of filming oversight, and troubleshooting any issues surrounding sponsor's promotional campaigns, as needed.
  • Shooting, sorting, and labeling Proof of Performance photos alongside HLSR Photographer to be used in Sponsorship Recap Books for clients.
  • Assist Sponsorship team with Appreciation Suite Night event for all sponsors. This includes set up and oversight of all logistics needed to make this event successful.
Post Show: March 24th -April 24th
  • Following Show, position responsibilities will shift to assist Sponsorship Team with closeouts, recaps, and thank you gifts for all Show Sponsors.
  • Support Sponsorship Fulfillment Team with breakdown process for all activation booths on premises.
  • Assist Sponsorship Account Managers with preparation and execution of Recap Book process
  • Confirm and finalize all 2025 Show tracking documents with Sponsorship Fulfillment Team.
Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experience in data entry and customer service is required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products, with particular emphasis on Excel. Must be knowledgeable in digital photography.
  • Weekends, nights and long hours are required
