Sports Administration Full-time Tenure-track FacultyThe Department of Government and Politics at Wagner College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty appointment in Sports Administration, beginning Fall 2024.The ideal candidate will hold a doctorate in Sports Management/Administration or a doctorate or other terminal degree in a related field, and be passionate about teaching and research.The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to teach SA 102: Financial Decision Making for Non-Profits, as well as a wide variety of sport management/administration courses (e.g., sports marketing, sports finance, e-sports, etc.), design curriculum, assist with the establishment of internship opportunities for undergraduate students, provide strong academic advisement, and supervise internships. In addition to a successful teaching record at the undergraduate level, we seek candidates with an original research agenda that complements and enhances their teaching.Essential Functions:Teach 3 courses per semester (Fall and Spring)Collaborate in developing curriculum and establishing new course offeringsAdvise and mentor students pursuing the undergraduate degree in sports administrationParticipate in departmental functions and college-wide servicesPursue scholarly activitiesTeach in the College's First Year ProgramQualifications:Earned doctorate in Sports Management/Administration or doctorate or terminal degree in a related field.
