The Department The Golf group specializes in helping corporations leverage the power and reach of golf through sponsorship and brand activation, primarily through events, VIP hospitality, players and media relationships. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious professional to grow within a team. The RoleThis Account Executive will assist with all aspects of the sports consulting programs and event executions for a client with a long-term partnership. The position will include event and hospitality management, strategic sponsorship support, preparation of proposals and presentations, daily account management support, onsite event support, and post event wrap up and reconciliation.Responsibilities
  • Assist account lead with day-to-day activities, development of content strategy, and talent recommendations
  • Curate unique VIP hospitality event programming for client throughout the year
  • Plan multiple events at same time; manage a team of staff and vendors
  • Manage workback schedules, event run of show, event management deliverables, and staffing for events
  • Lead weekly calls with client team
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of client and client partners
  • Develop client presentations/proposals and other briefing documents
  • Conduct site visits and develop site visit recap reports and recommendations
  • Lead on-site responsibilities including managing registration, overseeing venue and vendor setup, and interacting with talent and high-level executives, etc.
  • Day-to-day client interaction and status updates via phone, email, etc.
  • Preparation of detailed event wrap ups and reconciliation
  • Travel to events, meetings and site visits as needed (Approximately 15/year)
  • Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 6+ years B2B and/or B2C events and/or hospitality experience
  • 2+ years developing strategy, managing budgets, and negotiating with vendors
  • 2+ years working in sports industry
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, managing multiple workstreams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills including word processing, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent customer service and business writing abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to anticipate needs and think critically in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule to allow for travel and work during events
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
LocationThis role will be based out of the Jacksonville, FL office.CompensationThe annual base salary for this position is in the range of $73,000 - $106,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
