General Job Brief:
Under the supervision of the Assistant AD for Athletic Communication the position assists in the operations of sports information at ACU in assigned areas. The position may include specific oversite of digital media, or sport program communications for assigned teams.
This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship.
Typical Duties:
* Cover sports information for various sporting events.
* Keep statistics for selected sports teams.
* Write game notes for home events.
* Write previews and recaps for selected games.
* Photography/social media as directed.
* Marketing material development for various projects.
* Update information on website.
* Game operations responsibilities throughout the sports calendar year.
* Other duties as assigned.

* Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff.
* The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree and admission into the ACU Master of Arts in Christian Leadership program.
* Prior experience in the collegiate athletics environment and/or sports operations.
* Demonstrated connection to the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University.
Ability and Skills:
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Proficiency in writing
* Time management and meeting deadlines
* Collaborative with other coaches and staff
* Detail oriented
Time Required:
* General college sports calendar
* Variety of afternoon and evening coverage for competitions
* Midweek and weekend coverage for competitions
* Postgame work as needed to complete event coverage (write-ups, statistics, posts, reporting)
Fair Labor Standards Act:
This position is considered to be part-time, exempt for overtime pay provisions as provided by the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and any applicable state laws.
