Responsible for the safe, secure and efficient operations of the Sportsbook.

Responsibilities:

SAFE: Must make guests feel SAFE and comfortable through creating a worry free, carefree experience.

FAST: Provide FAST and efficient service with accuracy. Meet service time requirements and anticipate guest needs.

FRIENDLY: Greet each guest with FRIENDLY welcomes, making eye contact and smiling. Use H.E.A.R.T. steps to ease guest concerns. Say thank you to departing guests.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversees the daily Sportsbook operations on the Casino floor for an assigned shift in the absence of a Sportsbook Manager.
  • Enforces Casino regulatory rules and regulations and Casino internal controls and accounting controls in order to safeguard the companys assets.
  • Monitors business demands and makes necessary scheduling and staffing adjustments.
  • Monitors employee activities to ensure quality and compliance with established standards.
  • Assumes the responsibilities of the Sportsbook Manager in his/her absence.
  • Assists in the management of day-to-day operation of the Sportsbook to include training, counseling, and supervision of employees.
  • Uses the knowledge of the Sportsbook Team to help maintain awareness of issues with the marketplace, identify any changes in the business and provide feedback to Sportsbook Manager on any changes made as a result.
  • In conjunction with the Sportsbook Manager, develop a strategy focusing on initiatives and growth.
  • Assists in the vault impressment and the creation of the writer tills.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls and the state gaming agency.
  • Responsible for implementing all procedures for balancing and maintaining all kiosk units.
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with all departments.
  • Handles guest service and employee related issues with composure and professionalism.
  • Processes daily payroll for the department.
  • Assumes the role of hiring manager by pre-screening and interviewing all Sportsbook Writer and Sportsbook Supervisor applicants.
  • Maintains and tracks violations related to attendance and cash variances to ensure proper documentation is prepared and issued.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to extend complimentaries in accordance with the property comp matrix.

  • Must possess excellent inter-personal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
  • Self-starter; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment to drive both strategy and execution.
  • Strong collaboration and project management skills.
  • Ability to nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in sports or online gaming highly desire.

Educational Requirements

  • Two (2) years of related Sportsbook supervisory experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of Casino regulatory rules and regulations and Casino internal and accounting control procedures.
  • Must be able to qualify for and maintain license as required by the State Gaming Agency.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs.
  • Ability to stoop, bend and reach outward and above the head.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
