JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking to add a Senior Accountant with hands on experience to join our team. Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and the capacity to interact with clients, vendors, and management in an efficient manner are prerequisites for this position. Keeping correct financial records will be vital to the senior accountant's responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Create invoices for clients, reconcile cash transactions, handle check deposits, issue invoices through client portals and monitor past due balances from clients.
* Ensure that general ledger accounts are maintained and reconciled, and check entries for completeness and accuracy
* Prepare journal entries and creating account reconciliations with the necessary schedules to support ledger balances
* Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation, responding to inquiries, and addressing audit findings as needed
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
* Assist with various projects/reports as needed by management
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelors degree in accounting/finance
* Proficient in excel
* Proficient in Oracle and Hyperion Essbase
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity
* Strong analytical skills, organizational and follow-through skills
* Ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks to meet deadlines
* Strong understanding of US auditing and accounting standards, practices, and procedures
* Ability to work with company sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 annually
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
