The primary responsibilities may include performing installations, making modifications or repairs to sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and codes. Job duties include: 5 years of fire sprinkler installation experience. Knowledge of NFPA13, 25, and California Fire Code. Proof of high school completion. Valid driver's license without restrictions. Valid Cal Fire fitter certification. Basic understanding of measurements. Read and understand inspection reports, product specification sheets, O&M manuals, drawings, blueprints, and fire codes. Complete knowledge of operating various electrical and mechanical tools such as saws, wrenches, cutting torches, drills, pipe threaders, lifts, ladders, and motor vehicles. Ability to adhere to safety practices. Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. Able to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver's license and evidence of insurability. Complete knowledge of how to safely operate a pipe threading machine. Prepare and maintain accurate written and electronic documentation (timesheets, work tickets, inspection reports, etc.). Communicate clearly with clients and fellow team members. Solve practical problems and create action plans. Set priorities. Compensation: $30-$33/hr.
