SQL Server scripting and programming in various platforms, detailed analysis and design. Experience in rapidly building new relational data models, tables, views, functions, grants, triggers, stored procedures, indexes. SQL development (SSMS), Microsoft Power BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) Fix any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures. Familiarity with developing Restful APIs for database layer, and web application architecture. Create, modify, and optimize SQL Server Agent jobs and maintenance plans. Proactively monitor SQL Server maintenance tasks, troubleshoot failed jobs and resolve issues in a timely manner. Strong expertise in analyzing and converting hierarchical data into relational data, including descriptions and diagrams. Nice to have: Scripting and programming under Oracle using PL/SQL Knowledge/Experience in developing, hosting & managing databases on AWS RDS. Knowledge/Experience implementing database designs, transactions for microservice architecture. Experience in application modernization and migrating legacy platform's data models (Mainframes or similar). Experience with GitHub, JIRA, .Net Core, EF core, Dapper, DataLake, Redshift, Docker/Kubernetes container services.Requirements: Provides technical leadership for architecture, design, documentation and maintenance of an internal database and related systems. Please note that this is a hybrid role that requires an in person interview.This role is critical for the project success and will be responsible to design, manage and maintain the Relational/SQL databases, data warehouse, and reporting infrastructure for all applications within DFD.General responsibilities include Design, develop and maintain database solutions and data warehousing to support enterprise application services, reporting and analytics, including architecture design, data modeling, documentation, policies and standards. Analyze system requirements and migration methods for existing data in legacy systems. Plan, architect and optimize the data infrastructure to integrate with future systems. Maintain legacy reporting as well as design and implement new reporting and data, availability models.Responsibilities: • Design, implement and support data models, databases, and DW solutions to meet the long-term goals for the DHS/DFD office. • Develop and implement OLTP schemas, comprehensive testing plans for validating data transformation and integration, develop key metrics to ensure integrity on data architecture. • Responsible to take the ownership for their assigned tasks and work independently and deliver results in an iterative approach adhering to the sprint deadlines. • Must work collaboratively with the team of developers, Technical Lead, Architect, Business SME's, and Project Managers. • Recognizes problems and responds, systematically gathers information, sorts through complex issues, seeks input from others, addresses root cause of issues, makes timely decisions, can make difficult decisions, uses consensus when possible, communicates decisions to others, and rapidly adapts to change.
