**SQL Server Developer**
**General Summary:**
Wayside Technology Group, Inc., a growing company, that along with its Climb Channel Solutions and TechXtend divisions, is working to redefine how people interact with Technology, is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a SQL Server Developer position within its Information Technology Team. In this position you will work closely with our internal IT Development Team on the enhancement of our corporate data, infrastructure, and reporting capabilities, to provide users with the reporting and statistics that they need to conduct their business activities properly. The ideal candidate needs to be a team player and possess the ability to collaborate with all user levels.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
* Creating data base objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, etc.
* Developing reports in SQL Server Reporting Services
* Developing functions to provide users with requested customized functionality
* Collaborating with the Development Team members to understand application requirements, and to assist in providing necessary back-end functionality
* Enhancing business intelligence (BI) applications as needed to meet to changing business needs
* Creating technical and user documentation when necessary, to support processes and applications
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience:**
* 3-5 years' experience with SQL development including queries, triggers, stored procedures, tables, constraints, and functions
* 3-5 years' experience in developing and enhancing Microsoft SQL server 2012/2017 solutions
* MS SQL Server administration knowledge
* 3-5 years Microsoft SSRS/BI experience required
* QlikView BI knowledge a plus
* Good documentation skills required
* Good communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills required
**Requirements:**
* BA/BS in Computer Science/EE or other technical discipline preferred
* Must be authorized to work in the US
