Job Description:

We are inviting applications for the role of Senior Accountant in the manufacturing industry, based in Rochester, NY. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in our client's financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting, with experience in cost accounting and ERP systems. You will also play a key role in liaising between our accounting team and manufacturing team, ensuring accurate costing and inventory management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of accounting for our manufacturing operations, including cost accounting and financial reporting

• Serve as the lead point of contact for our location, facilitating communication between the accounting team and manufacturing team

• Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to ensure accurate costing and inventory management

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of ERP systems

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to support informed business decisions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Microsoft Excel to perform tasks

• Demonstrate expertise in Manufacturing Cost Accounting, Raw Material Inventory, and Manufacturing

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar capacity

• Exceptional proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated expertise in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required

• Experience with Month End Close procedures is essential

• Familiarity with Manufacturing Cost Accounting, Raw Material Inventory, and Manufacturing processes

• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required

• CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country where this job is located, without employer sponsorship.
