Position: Sr. AccountantFLSA: ExemptSchedule: This full-time position will work out of the Augustine Institute home office in Florissant, Missouri.Reporting to: Accounting ManagerPosition SummaryThe Sr. Accountant evaluates and records transactions to ensure the financials are accurate and complete, supports internal customers, maintains and updates current financial information, and performs month/quarter end close account reconciliations and journal entries with exceptional timeliness and accuracy.*Specific duties below may not be all-inclusive. Monthly Account Reconciliations Monthly Investment Reconciliation and Accounting Monthly Bank Reconciliations Monthly Properties Accounting Monthly Caf Accounting Inventory Reporting Graduate School Processing Accounting Mailbox Upkeep Funds Reconciliation / Balancing Fixed Assets Audit Support Work collaboratively with and provide support to other groups within the Augustine Institute to ensure all activity is recorded in the general ledger in a timely manner Collaborate on the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly reports regarding general subject matter and or business areas, performing basic analysis when necessary. Assist with various ad-hoc tasksQualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting required. Working knowledge/understanding and prior professional experience with FASB pronouncements and GAAP. Working knowledge/understanding and prior professional experience with fund accounting. At least 5 years of professional experience working in an accounting or finance capacity. Extensive experience using MS Office Excel, including advanced functionality such as pivot tables, formulas, etc. NetSuite experience is a plus.Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong written and oral communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong ability to think creatively and strategically to identify and resolve problems effectively. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. Advanced proficiency with MS Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
