Key Responsibilities: Project Planning: Work with our technology vendor and IT Program Manager to develop and execute detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budget for multiple scrum teams. Define project deliverables and milestones to ensure timely and within-budget completion.Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks. Implement mitigation strategies to address potential issues and ensure project stability.Stakeholder Management: Must have the ability to balance significant financial, legal and social risks with the prospects of generating significant value across a large number of stakeholders, citizens and employees. Collaborate with Technology, senior executives, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, expectations, and objectives. Provide regular updates and manage stakeholder communications effectively. This new system will have hundreds of interfaces/customers that could be impacted by the new system. These interfaces/customers that count on the systems accuracy include insurance companies, law enforcement, courts, dealers, carriers, schools, rental car companies, weigh stations, other state agencies, federal systems etc.Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional scrum teams. Delegate tasks, track progress, and ensure team members are trained, and aligned with project goals. Work with vendor and staff to ensure company can properly manage and maintain the new system after deployment. This includes IT and business staff training.Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to organizational policies and industry best practices.Database conversion and data clean up: Ensure the data clean up and data conversion are 100% accurateBudget and Resource Management: Monitor project expenses, manage budgets, and allocate resources efficiently to maximize project outcomes. Plan for regular monthly financial reportingCompliance: Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and Commonwealth policies.Qualifications: Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) and ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) certifications are mandatory.
Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in project management, specifically with high-profile and high-risk, multi-million dollar projects.
- Must be solid in vendor management.
- Must have experience working with all aspects of IT including moving from a data center to Azure Cloud for a high-volume transaction system that has an internal UI and a website/customer UI.
