To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What you'll be doing As a member of the US Region Change Advisory & Governance department, you'll work with an agile and innovative team. As a Sr. Analyst, Change Initiatives Risk Assessment, you'll facilitate the CIRA reviews with relevant Strategic Business Unit Committees, while providing escalation to the US CIRA Committee (US CIRAC) who will review and challenge change risk reassessments. The Sr. Analyst, Change Initiatives Risk Assessment will also provide innovative, original ideas, and support broadly defined policy objectives, while championing CIBC values and providing support. How you'll succeed
  • Support risk management oversight and governance in alignment with US Change Advisory & Governance objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional business leaders and key functional areas such as Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, and Internal Audit.
  • Maintain a central inventory of all CIRA Applicability Assessment Forms; ensures CIRA Applicability Forms are completed and reviewed by Operational Risk Management and/or other applicable Control Groups as needed, prior to finalization.
  • Ensure High and Medium inherent risk CIRAs are presented and discussed at US CIRAC; ensure Low inherent risk CIRAs are reviewed by Operational Risk Management and/or other applicable Control Groups as needed.
  • Support the maintenance of the US CIRAC's Pipeline Report, and schedules and facilitate CIRA engagement meetings with cross-functional stakeholders. Manages meeting materials, action items, and tracking of follow-up items.
  • Capture minutes of relevant discussion points and collects required sign-offs, files CIRA forms with the Enterprise CIRA Office.
  • Manage the CIRA SharePoint site and conducts semi-annual reviews.
  • Ensure final CIRAC meetings are held with business sponsors and cross-functional partners prior to launch dates.
  • Maintain full understanding of the change initiative frameworks, risk assessment process, and US Change Advisory & Governance objectives.
  • Drive adoption through communication and coordination.
  • Recommend and implement ongoing enhancements to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness. Who you are
    • You have a minimum of 6 years experience in Financial Services and Risk Management.
    • You have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration.
    • You have experience in risk assessment processes, including RCSAs and project management.
    • You have knowledge of change management and program management.
    • You have exceptional verbal, written, and communication skills along with organizational skills and a strong sense of accountability.

This role has an expected salary range of $90K - $120K for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
