The customer onboarding team is the initial introduction of Universal Intermodal to our customers. This first step in bringing on new customers is critical for building and sustaining strong relationships with our customers and setting up our terminals to be able to deliver on our promises. Our onboarding team empowers our terminals and corporate office to be successful in providing exceptional service through their involvement with Universal Intermodal.The ideal candidate will have:Excellent customer service skillsExcellent communication skills: written and verbalAbility to pay close attention to detailsAbility to work independently and with a teamAbility to work in multiple systemsDesire to learn, research, and identify areas of improvementAbility to manage a process from start to finishStrong organizational skillsDuties include:Onboard new customers:
- Calculate credit limits and process credit applications
- Review billing requirements
- Facilitate onboarding calls internally with multiple departments and terminals and externally with customers
- Confirm all documents are received and saved in central location; including contracts and rates
- Ensure terminals are armed with information and tools needed to run the business including but not limited to rates, accessorial billing requirements, customer billing nuances and portal access.
- Partner with the IT department for technological needs from customers (EDI, portals)
Ensure customer profiles are set up, deactivated and updated; documented through reviews and annual bid processesProcess daily credit increase requests from company terminals and agentsAnswer emails from customers, terminals, and internal departmentsSend welcome emails and assign accounts to AR booksMaintain customer website access for terminals and corporate employeesAd Hoc projects as needed related to customers, onboarding, etc.This is a great position to grow your company and industry knowledge.
