Job Description:

We are seeking a Sr Assoc Scientist to join our Renal team. The Renal team of the Cardiovascular and Renal Therapeutic Focus Area conducts studies in support of drug discovery and development for Renal indications. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team dedicated to advancing drug discovery projects and exploring novel biology within Regeneron's fast paced environment. We expect that the ideal candidate must handle multiple projects simultaneously, correctly document the results, analyze the data and communicate the results clearly and concisely. The individual will be responsible for ex vivo assay development and executing a multitude of assays for renal team studies.

As a Sr Assoc Scientist, a typical day might include:

  • Develop and execute ex vivo assays for renal and fibrosis studies.

  • Perform ex vivo/in vitro assays (ELISAs, Luminex/MSDs, biochemical assays) with precision.

  • Set up and execute bioassays, including dose-response and inhibition curves.

  • Collect protein/RNA for western blotting and gene expression studies.

  • Analyze, document, and present experimental data in group meetings.

  • Maintain primary cells, iPS-derived cells, and cell lines for cell-based assays.

  • Identify and troubleshoot routine problems, optimize processes, and evaluate new technologies.

  • Record data in electronic lab notebooks.

  • Stay updated with current techniques and research by reading literature.

  • Communicate progress to peers and supervisors.

  • Deliver project presentations within the department.

  • Experience with in vivo assays: dosing, injections, rodent surgeries, urine collection, dissections, and sample collections (preferred but not required).

To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of a Bachelors or Masters with 3-6 years of relevant laboratory experience in biology, molecular biology, or a related biological science. Experience with kidney animal modeling experience preferred.
