Sr. Azure Devops Engineer Expert Remote Position 12+Month Contract Role Overview: The Azure DevOps Engineer will play a key role in automating, managing, and optimizing the software development and deployment pipeline within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This position involves working closely with development, IT, and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), infrastructure management, and release automation. Key Responsibilities:
- CI/CD Pipeline Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps tools.
- utomate deployment processes, ensuring smooth, error-free releases with minimal downtime.
- Work with development teams to ensure that build and deployment processes are consistent, efficient, and scalable.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for provisioning and managing Azure resources.
- Collaborate with cloud architects to design and implement automated solutions for managing Azure resources.
- utomation and Scripting:
- Develop scripts and automation solutions for monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting the infrastructure.
- Ensure the optimization of cloud resources to maintain high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Deploy and manage Azure resources, including virtual machines, networking, storage, databases, and containers (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
- Work with cloud administrators to maintain system reliability, availability, and performance of all Azure-based infrastructure.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with software development, operations, and security teams to design, implement, and manage scalable systems.
- Provide support for troubleshooting issues related to builds, deployments, and production environments.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve issues related to software deployments, pipelines, and infrastructure.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement security best practices in DevOps processes (e.g., using Azure Key Vault, role-based access control (RBAC), etc.).
- Monitor, track, and ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards in cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve the DevOps processes, workflows, and tools.
- Stay current with Azure DevOps advancements and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience & Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps role with hands-on experience in Azure DevOps.
- Strong experience in continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation tools.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps Services (Azure Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar.
- Experience in monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting Azure resources using tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or Log Analytics.
