Job Description:

Our Dallas-based client is seeking an experienced Sr. Benefits Specialist specializing in Health and Wellness Plans to join their team. This is a direct hire position and will require you to be onsite (zip code 75240).

SALARY RANGE: Up to $100k base plus bonus depending on candidates experience, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to inquiries and data requests from active and retired employees and outside sources regarding various benefit/retirement plans and company policies and procedures.
  • Provide assistance and support to all organizational levels in the interpretation and application of benefit plans and programs.
  • Manage comprehensive corporate benefits program for 5,000+ employees, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and incentive plans.
  • Strengthen vendor relationships through regular meetings, enhancing benefit performance oversight.
  • Assist Benefits Manager in resolving employee inquiries, enhancing employee engagement through improved benefit communication strategies.
  • Research, analyze, evaluate, and make recommendations for benefit plan design changes or new plan formulation. Obtain bids from carriers, record keepers, consultants, and other vendors to ensure services are cost-effective and externally competitive.
  • Oversee the development of performance metrics with the company's benefit vendors and monitor each vendor's performance compared to the approved metrics; and provide regular reporting to management on the performance of these vendors.
  • Oversee the proper maintenance and audit of plan records, employee files, and associated computerized databases.
  • Provide problem resolution among active, retired, and terminated employees and various vendors to ensure quality customer service is achieved.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience being responsible professional benefit plan administration experience
  • Any experience with Workday or similar software platforms is preferred
