Job Description BUSINESS TITLE: Associate Director, Business Analyst DEPARTMENT: FCB Health New York FLSA STATUS: JOB SUMMARY Senior Business Analyst (BA) is expected to use knowledge of complex systems, information requirements and business strategies to identify technology solutions required to achieve strategic business goals. Candidate should be able to think laterally for solving problems when building scalable solutions. BA with strong client services, analytical, and operational experience is expected to work on custom solutions for business challenges. Analyzing and dissecting business models into smaller actionable enhancements. This role will partner with business leads to define and document business objectives along with evaluation criteria for said objectives. Additionally, is expected to work with product managers, system and software engineers to help architect technology solutions. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Analyze business processes and plan solutions for improving current processes based on technology trends and business strategy. - Document business requirements, functional design, test scenarios, and end-user training materials. - Use persuasive reporting and evaluation metrics to gain confidence in recommended solutions. - Oversee solution implementation from inception to delivery by support execution teams and management. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives by applying systems knowledge, identifying opportunities, and developing or enhancing existing systems. - Understanding of data sources and collection methods in order to provide consultation and subject matter expertise on data and system security. - Analytically use BI Tools in combination with disparate data sources to build and support dashboards and to discover most impactful insights for the business. - Able to design scalable systems with copious amounts of data and build tools to streamline business processes. - Manage the intake of new business challenges that require systems analysis. - Support business users and help troubleshoot simple to complex application issues and develop creative solutions to support business needs. - Support teams and clients with audits, security administration, data loads, data warehouse reporting, and system reporting. - Work closely with Engineering and other technical teams to deliver custom system solutions - Develop processes and department best practices with Product Development leads - Drive the adoption of agile practices and act as an in-house expert, comfortable teaching and inspiring others on product development and business analyst best practices EDUCATION DEGREE/DIPLOMA AREA OF STUDY REQUIRED/PREFERRED BS/BA in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.. Required LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) Preferred EXPERIENCE MIN EXPERIENCE AREA OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/PREFERRED 2+ years Systems design, implementation, development, and quality assurance. Preferred 2+ years Analytical problem-solving, managing complex processes, Databases and reporting. Preferred 3+ years Supporting various software projects in different engineering roles. Required 2+ years System analysis or Business analyst experience. Required KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS - Implement procedures and processes to overcome business challenges/gaps - Strong knowledge and understanding of data security, management, and functionality. - Ability to use various forms of written and verbal communication to gather information about business challenge and create reports and plans for sharing with disparate client and internal teams. - In-depth knowledge of software development lifecycles including testing practices using Agile and waterfall. - Experience with data analysis, business analysis, communication, collaboration and building analyses and data models. - Analytically measure key operational metrics to support recommended solutions. - Experience supporting and developing highly scalable and deployable services. They use both business and information technology tools to help clients/brands adapt to new and enhanced processes and operating procedures. They consult with business leaders and leaders of functional areas to formulate plans for introducing efficiencies uniquely using/building IT systems to tackle ever evolving business needs. Salary $70,000 to $85,000 annually. The salary range for this position is noted within this job posting.
