Job Summary:
As a Senior Purchasing Leader, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our procurement activities specifically for the flexible packaging market. Your expertise in sourcing strategies, supplier management, and market analysis will drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness in our supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for flexible packaging materials.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable conditions and sustainable partnerships.
- Analyze market trends to identify risks and opportunities related to the procurement of flexible packaging materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand material requirements and ensure alignment with production schedules and quality standards.
- Manage supplier relationships, conducting regular reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and performance expectations.
- Lead cost reduction initiatives by identifying and implementing efficient purchasing strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and advancements in flexible packaging technologies.
- Mentor and lead a team of one purchasing associate, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, specifically within the flexible packaging industry.
- Strong understanding of flexible packaging materials and market dynamics.
- Proven track record of successful supplier management and contract negotiations.
