Sr. CAE Analyst - Vehicle Dynamics and NVH
Job Description:
A global automotive company is seeking a highly experienced Sr. CAE Analyst specializing in Full Vehicle NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) analysis. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in modal analysis, frequency response analysis, and acoustic sensitivity, as well as hands-on experience in CAE modeling and post-processing using tools such as ANSA, MetaPost, and HyperWorks. This role requires the ability to independently manage complex projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform full-vehicle NVH analysis, including modal analysis, frequency response analysis, and acoustic sensitivity studies.
- Develop, construct, and validate complex vehicle system-level CAE models using tools such as Ansa, Meta, and Hyperworks.
- Use advanced solvers such as OptiStruct and NASTRAN to run simulations.
- Analyze and interpret simulation results to provide actionable insights for design improvements.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, including detailed reports and methodology documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CAE findings into product development cycles.
- Participate in correlation studies, scripting/automation tasks, and DOE (Design of Experiments) setup as needed.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in CAE modeling and simulation processes.
Required Skillset:
- Minimum of 6-8+ years of industry experience as a CAE analyst specializing in Full Vehicle NVH.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as ANSA, MetaPost, and HyperWorks for CAE modeling and post-processing.
- Proficiency in solvers like OptiStruct and NASTRAN.
- Expertise in building and validating full-vehicle CAE models.
- Strong skills in geometry cleanup, meshing, and creating assembly connections.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering.
Bonus Skillset:
- Experience in the automotive or aerospace industries.
- Previous exposure to research-driven environments with a focus on method development.
Location: Raymond, OH (Hybrid 3 days/week onsite)
