Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Architect with substantial experience in managing cloud architecture in the context of M&A activities. The AWS Architect with M&A Experience will play a crucial role in leading the design, implementation, and management of cloud solutions on AWS, particularly in relation to integrating new systems and technologies acquired through mergers and acquisitions. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions, optimize cloud infrastructure, and drive efficiencies in cloud operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both AWS Cloud and Google Cloud platforms, with a proven track record of 8-10 years in IT engineering. The Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure to support our business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Architecture Design:
Design, develop and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance AWS/ Google cloud architectures to support various business needs.
Design cloud solutions that integrate with existing systems and support ongoing mergers and acquisitions.
M&A Integration:
Lead the technical integration of cloud environments and applications resulting from mergers and acquisitions.
Assess and plan for the migration of applications, data, and services from acquired companies to the AWS platform.
Collaborate with acquisition teams to understand legacy systems and develop integration strategies.
Technical Leadership:
Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership for AWS cloud initiatives.
Develop best practices and standards for cloud architecture and operations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with stakeholders including IT, security, operations, and business units to align cloud strategies with organizational goals.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Performance Optimization:
Monitor and optimize the performance of AWS environments to ensure high availability and cost efficiency.
Implement and manage cloud governance and compliance practices.
Documentation and Training:
Create detailed architectural diagrams, documentation, and operational procedures.
Provide training and support to internal teams on AWS best practices and integration techniques.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8-10 years of IT engineering experience with a focus on cloud technologies.
Extensive experience with AWS Cloud and Google Cloud platforms.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Strong understanding of networking, security, and database management in cloud environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
