Vale Group has partnered with a mechanical contractor in the commercial construction industry, based near Matthews, NC who is actively searching for an experienced Sr Commercial Plumbing Project Estimator to work onsite for an opportunity paying $105k-$125k, based on experience. This position requires a deep understanding of mechanical HVAC and/or plumbing systems, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to develop accurate cost estimates for complex projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of estimating large commercial MEP projects.   • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in estimating for mechanical contracting with a focus on plumbing, hvac, or similar MEP projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) are preferred.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel as well as Estimation software such as Fastpipe, EST MEP, Tremble, Bluebeam, etc.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with mechanical system codes and standards.
Responsibilities of the Sr Commercial Plumbing Project Estimator:
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for MEP projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accuracy and feasibility of estimates.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for potential clients.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Maintain and update historical cost data for future reference.
  • Provide support during contract negotiations and project kick-offs.
  • Support as needed.
