Control Systems Project Manager

This is a hybrid-position and will require commuting into the Somerset, NJ area 2-3 days a week.

Summary:

This position involves managing and executing projects to optimize commissioning times and improve FAT efficiency. Responsibilities include assisting in system design, writing functional specifications, coordinating with and overseeing vendors, and providing support during startup and commissioning. As experience grows, the role may expand to include project management and SI services. Extensive use of Siemens tools, especially SIMIT and COSMOS software, is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute projects in industries such as power generation, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, and manufacturing.
• Design, develop, and maintain control systems that meet performance standards.
• Test and evaluate control systems for functionality and efficiency.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot control system issues, implementing solutions as necessary.
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure seamless integration of control systems into broader projects.
• Document control system designs, specifications, and testing outcomes.
• Stay informed on industry advancements to continuously improve systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to identify optimal solutions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and users.
• Develop solutions based on client needs and identify opportunities for service expansion.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Computer Science degrees considered with relevant experience).
• Ideal candidates will have 4+ years of experience in Control Systems Engineering.
• Proficiency with PLCs, including Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Modicon.
• Experience with DCS systems like Foxboro, Honeywell, or Delta V is preferred.
• Strong engineering principles and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Experience in power generation, renewable energy, pharma, petrochemical, heavy industrial, or manufacturing is highly regarded.
