More information: www.ineos-styrolution.comCurrent OpportunityJob TitleSHE CoordinatorGradeUSA_33-SG USA INSTY 33LocationChannahon, IllinoisThe Position: The SHE Coordinator is responsible for assisting Channahon to achieve and maintain compliance with Styrolution SHE polices and applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements for the operation of the permitted site.What you will do:
  • This position - and all positions - within the INEOS Styrolution organization requires that the incumbent commit to learning, following and practicing INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioural Safety as applicable to the position. These are posted within each INEOS Styrolution facility.
  • An Asset Engineer and Site Champion of the 20 Principles and Life Saving Rules.
  • Ensure compliance with assigned Protective System inspections and develop an action plan to address gaps.
  • Support with the oversight and/or completion of SHE activities including:
    • Emergency Response Systems and Equipment
    • Industrial Hygiene Monitoring
    • Serve as alternate Emergency Response Coordinator for RCRA related events
    • Support security system ITPM
    • Behavioral Base Safety Program promotion and barrier removal
  • Coordinate and oversee waste management activities consistent with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
  • Support 20,000-point Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) program.
  • Ensure Storm Water Pollution Prevent Plan (SWPPP) and Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plan inspections and monitoring is completed.
  • Assist with data collection and Method 9 and/or Method 22 Opacity monitoring consistent with site Title V Air Permit.
  • Act as point of contact for Ozone Depleting Substance (ODS) program to ensure proper coordination and tracking of ODS use at the facility.
  • Oversee non-transient, non-community public water supply (NTNCPWS) controls for safe drinking water program at the facility and coordinating Illinois Department of Public Health inspections and testing.
  • Maintain a high level of visibility in the facility to support safe operations and maintenance activities.
  • Support Process Hazard Analysis and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
  • Lead contractor safety programs to ensure pre job/safe execution plans are completed and executed for high-risk jobs. Represent the facility on Three Rivers Manufacturing Association contractor safety committee.
  • Participates in all internal and external audits as assigned. (Insurance, Fire, OSHA, 20 Principles, PSM)
  • Site designated alternate Facility Security Officer (FSO).
What you will bring:
  • Level of education & knowledge:
    • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or 5+ years' experience working in a chemical plant environment is preferred.
    • Knowledgeable in SHE Technical Areas preferred.
    • RCRA hazardous waste knowledge desire.
    • Previous experience as part of an emergency response team or first aid certified is desired.
    • Must possess or be able to obtain Class K wastewater treatment operator, and non-transient, non-community public water supply (NTNCPWS) certification.
  • Technical skills:
    • Demonstrates understanding of operations.
    • Good written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to correctly interpret and apply SHE laws and regulations and industry.
    • Competent in the use of Microsoft and Adobe software and ability to develop competency in the use of ancillary software applications used by the site.

    • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
