Position: Data Analyst

Duration: 6-month contract with potential extension up to 18 months

Location: Charlotte, NC - Prefer local candidates (onsite presence may be required).

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with a strong background in the communications industry to join our team supporting. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in data analytics, with expertise in interpreting complex datasets, creating insightful visualizations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, interpret, and visualize large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to the communications industry.
  • Design and develop data models and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization platforms.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, define requirements, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Support data-driven decision-making by developing predictive and prescriptive analytics models.
  • Cleanse, organize, and maintain data integrity to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports.
  • Document analytics processes and methodologies, ensuring they align with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize data pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of data analytics experience, preferably in the communications or telecommunications industry.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and querying large datasets.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for advanced data analysis.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods and techniques.
  • Ability to interpret and present complex data to diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Proven experience in working with CRM, billing, or customer service data is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience working with data from cable, internet, or other communications services.
  • Understanding of telecommunications KPIs, such as churn rates, ARPU (Average Revenue Per User), or network performance metrics.
  • Experience with ETL processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka is a plus.
