Job Responsibilities:
  • Assesses business needs and goals and strategies to meet those needs within slot and sportsbook operations.
  • Coordinates and directs subordinates to effect customer services, operational effectiveness, efficiency, and economy within the business plan.
  • Directs and oversees the business/financial performance of slot and sportsbook operations and manages the Director of Gaming Systems.
  • Develop and maintain customer loyalty programs.
  • Safeguards casino/gaming assets.
  • Issue markers within credit limits of credit customers.
  • Manages and assigns team member shifts.
  • Assist VP/General Manager with report preparation and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Ensure that the required facilities and equipment are available for guest use, clean and functioning properly.
  • Perform hiring, training, evaluation, monitoring, scheduling of operations, and performance of personnel.
  • Monitor and report gaming device performance, inventory, and configuration.
  • Monitor Slot, HRM, and Video Poker performance in conjunction with the Director of Gaming Systems.
  • Review and analyze gaming data and actual machine performance in conjunction with the Director of Gaming Operations.
  • Approve and verify slot machine payouts and fills.
  • Conduct fund exchanges for guests during emergency situations.
  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communication.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of gaming laws and regulations applicable to areas of responsibility.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor consistent policies and procedures applicable to slot and sportsbook operations.
  • Assess business needs and goals in the development of capital expenditure planning, coordinate, and implement.
  • Plan and manage the development and learning opportunities for the department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities: YesEducation and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree or 10 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exemplary customer service. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common documentation and specific gaming-related documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies, or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations regarding the implementation of current duties. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.Licenses/Certificates: Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to obtain a Gaming License from gaming regulators and a Racing license from the Louisiana State Racing Commission.Physical Demands: The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
