Job Description: Summary: Within Ballad Health Medical Associates, the BHMA Sr. Director Operations will ensure alignment with Ballad Health's mission and vision while upholding the organization's value and code of conduct. This role provides leadership, direction, decision making, and supports management and staff in best practice day-to-day operation decisions, including coordination with Facility Management, Health Information Management, and Clinicians. The BHMA Sr. Director Operations initiates standardization of policies and procedures throughout the physician clinics in collaboration with BHMA Leadership. Coordinate with Sr. Leadership to establish goals by using industry benchmarks to stimulate best practice performance Meet regularly with facility and BHMA group leadership and to ensure department operations are working in accord to resolve any performance barriers Coordinate with AVP and COO to develop, implement and publish revenue cycle score card highlighting key performance indicators and areas of concern to enhance outcome Demonstrate an understanding of financial objectives which includes forecasting, preparation of operating budget, monitoring expenditures, and understanding variances. As needed, make recommendations, and develop an action plan to correct and achieve budget or if exceeding that, make corresponding revenue offsets and create a positive ROI Drive financial and operational performance by utilizing data review and metrics to determine decision making and execution. Participate in generating monthly and quarterly operation reports to review with BHMA Leadership and establishing annual operating and capital budgets Coordinate Physician Recruitment needs and activities for clinics manage quality, payment for performance, alternative payment model, and value-based reimbursement opportunities Improve results by reviewing, evaluating processes, and analyzing results while implementing positive change management exercises. Actively seek opportunities for process improvement to provide a positive patient experience. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and best practice standard(s)Collaborate with facility and/or service line stakeholders to participate in outreach development with referring physicians and communities provide support and execution of the management action plans and COPA commitments/Terms of Certification Directly assist the AVP of Ballad Health Medical Associates with the development and growth within their service line and/or market including opening of new clinics Conduct utilization review and management, communicate with Team Members and establish/maintain physician rapport. Invest in team growth and development opportunities Education / Experience: Required - Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field plus 7 year(s) experience in physician practice management or healthcare operations. Knowledge/Skills Abilities: Self-motivated, strong communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels, excellent organizational skills and manage multiple priorities. Preferred - Master's Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration Experience with physician contracts and compensation Experience with analyzing and interpreting physician practice benchmarking information.
