Sr. Director, Implementation

About the role
Passionate about delivery? Your next role will be responsible for the delivery of Boldyn Networks distributed antenna and fiber (DAS) system within the NYC subway. This role is to lead an implementation team ensuring the overall administration, coordination and implementation of the systems, are delivered on time, within scope and on budget. This role will be responsible for developing KPI's and appropriate metrics relating to the installation andreporting and tracking against these metrics. Based in our New York office you will be responsible for the implementation of our network infrastructure.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and execute implementation strategies aligned with company goals and client needs. Lead the implementation team in delivering complex telecommunications projects efficiently and effectively.
- Relevant experience delivering construction management and project services in the transportation environment along with setting up required reporting procedures and formats.
- Coordinate with internal departments, including sales, engineering, and operations, to ensure alignment and successful project execution. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Sets operational and/or performance goals for the business which are aggressive, achievable and tied to long-term goals.
- Establishes and monitors performance reporting systems.
- Monitors business performance against performance goals to ensure progress is being made.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Address and resolve issues promptly to minimize impact on project success.
- Develop and manage capital expenditure (Capex) plans for projects, ensuring alignment with financial targets and strategic objectives. Monitor Capex budgets and make recommendations for cost efficiencies.
- Establishes construction estimates, budgets, forecasts, schedules and costs for acceptability. Reviews certain specifications and drawings for economic constructability.
- Reviews and approves preliminary estimates and project schedules as required and participates in the engineering and construction review meetings and in management review meetings.
- Participates in proposal preparation, project planning, and scheduling by furnishing expertise on construction methods and equipment, labor productivity guidelines, and estimates of distributable expenses and labor wage rates.
- Manage external contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client and suppliers during the implementation phase. Develops and maintains working knowledge of customer contracts and customer expectations. Build and maintain strong client relationships, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project.
- Coordinates with the project managers, design engineers, procurement, project controls and other functional departments in setting and maintaining priorities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and on budget.
- Demonstrates leadership in a way that drives high employee engagement levels.
- Participates in the review and/or development of functional operations and controls such as site-specific procedures.
- Continuously evaluate and refine implementation processes and methodologies. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and project outcome.
- Establishes operational processes/process improvement plans to align with Boldyn's operational model.
- Ensures quality control of all delivery of services including substantive and back-office work.
- Ensures the appropriate field procedures are in place and being implemented with an emphasis on the application of the environmental, safety and health policies.
- Lead and mentor a team of managers, engineers, and technical staff. Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure high performance and professional development within the team.
- Staffs and recruits employees and provide guidance concerning personnel policies relating to salary, annual performance reviews, employee development and other requirements.
What you'll bring
- 8 - 10 years of experience in project management and implementation within the telecommunications industry.
- 8 - 10 years of related program leadership experience managing large-scale projects with transit systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field or applicable experience required.
- Advanced degree or PMP or other project/program management certification is preferred.
- Strong project management experience and a commitment to quality and cost consciousness.
- Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams and across widely varying stakeholders in the organization.
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills (written, spoken, and interpersonal), with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Results-oriented, analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with working in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
