Reporting to: VP of Operations Department: Operations Location: New York, NY Position: Hybrid, Full-Time Salary: $155k-170k Job Overview: The Sr. Director of Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain operations. This role involves strategic planning, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring the effective implementation of systems to enhance productivity and efficiency. Job Responsibilities: 1. **NetSuite Implementation Assistance** - Collaborate with IT and other relevant departments to ensure the smooth implementation and integration of NetSuite software. - Provide guidance and support to the team during the transition phase. - Monitor the system's performance and recommend improvements. 2. **Production Planning** - Develop and manage production plans to meet business goals and customer demands. - Coordinate with production teams to ensure schedules are met and resources are efficiently utilized. - Analyze production data to identify and resolve bottlenecks. 3. **Inventory Planning** - Oversee inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels. - Implement inventory control procedures to minimize costs and prevent stock outs or excess inventory. - Utilize data analysis to forecast demand and plan inventory accordingly. 4. **Vendor Validation** - Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability criteria. - Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. - Conduct regular assessments to ensure vendors meet company standards and requirements. 5. **Supply Chain Monitoring** - Monitor the entire supply chain process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. - Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain. - Implement strategies to improve overall supply chain performance. 6. **New Product Development (NPD) Budget Control** - Manage budgets related to new product development. - Ensure that NPD projects stay within budget and on schedule. - Collaborate with the product development team to align financial and operational goals. 7. **Operational SOPs and Structure** - Develop and format Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for supply chain operations. - Establish a structured framework to ensure consistency and compliance across all processes. - Continuously review and update SOPs to reflect best practices and regulatory changes. Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in consumer goods, preferably in the beauty industry.
  • Proven experience in production planning, procurement, and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential production and supply chain risks.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international logistics, including freight forwarding, customs regulations, and Incoterms.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
