Summary:
Plans and implements the design, manufacture, installation and/or maintenance of electrical systems and apparatus, such as electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, wiring and power systems/devices, for the generation, transmission and control of electric power.
- Must be proficient in PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting.
- Allen Bradley preferred (PLC 5, SLC, Micrologix, ControlLogix, Panelview)
- Ability to read control system drawings (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic) and assist technicians with troubleshooting these systems.
- Individual would be responsible for providing control system designs (safety circuits, communication networks, panel design, hardware selection, etc.) and providing technicians with drawings and material for internal projects.
- Vision system experience preferred (Keyence IV, CV, XG series)
- Robot experience preferred. Primarily responsible for existing program modification and troubleshooting. (Fanuc, Epson)
- High level of electrical knowledge required with a working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Major Position Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, and tests electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems.
- Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs.
- Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved.
- Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products.
Basic Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in engineering or other engineering degree required
- 5-7 years experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or other engineering degree required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work as part of a team
