Job DetailsSr Energy Engineer (BMS /Controls) - NYCWe are seeking a high performing Energy/Controls Engineer who deliver high value to the client with minimal oversight. Successful candidates with experience achieving Energy Efficiency goals through the Optimization/Integration of BMS Systems and Controls for a variety of Clients and Facilities.
- The engineer needs strong energy analysis capabilities with sound technical fundamentals to deliver energy analysis in a timely and effective manner.
- The energy engineer needs to consistently deliver work on or ahead of schedule.
- The energy engineer needs to be able to delegate work effectively to junior team members.
- The energy engineer needs to be a value visionary. Meaning they need to be able to extrapolate the client's value proposition based on limited criteria provided by the client. The value path needs to be logical and clearly align with client objectives. The engineer needs to be able to define the roadmap and collaborate with the client to achieve the objective with very little direction and often limited information from the client.
- Communications need to be concise, organized, and logical.
- The Engineer needs to work effectively with sub-contractors, potential future sub-contractors, and other project stakeholders to effectively develop and implement energy projects.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of energy modeling in software and in spreadsheets
- Working knowledge of energy economics
- Strong client communication and management skills
- Knowledge of energy audit and retro-commissioning process and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Working knowledge of NY/NJ utility incentive programs (ConEd, NYSERDA, NJ SmartStart)
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
