Sr Equipment Qualification Engineer

We are looking for an Equipment Qualification Engineer to join our Cincinnati, Ohio team!

Equipment Qualification Engineers at the Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Division QualTech NP Cincinnati location must design, develop, and test a wide range of electrical and electromechanical components and equipment for systems integral to the safety of nuclear power plants. As an Equipment Qualification Engineer, you are responsible for the performance of complex, highly technical projects in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures, and guidelines. You must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Creativity and latitude are expected to resolve problems of diverse scope. You will play a vital role within the assigned business segment supporting project schedules and customer deliverables. You will work in a team environment with the support and guidance of management. This position requires interaction with customers, suppliers, operations, quality assurance, and sales to support both domestic and international products and services.

**Your Challenge:**

+ Review and understand a wide variety of large and complex customer purchase orders, technical specifications, and quality assurance requirements and translate that into design, procurement, qualification, and testing documents.

+ Ensure compliance with customer purchasing requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards & regulations. Determine design approaches and parameters for testing and qualifying equipment and systems. Anticipate and mitigate potential failure modes to improve probability of successful results.

+ Facilitate factory acceptance tests, document, and evaluate results of a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical components and systems.

+ Work collaboratively with all team members to achieve project objectives including safety, quality, and customer schedule.

+ Maintain effective customer & vendor communications, ensuring that all requirements and expectations are addressed effectively.

+ Provide technical input on the generation of proposals for programs.

+ Efficiently and effectively work towards goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple constraints.

+ Address and resolve project issues pertaining to project work scope, technical requirements, quality, schedule, resource assignments, cost, customer interface and other project related activities.

+ Work safely in accordance with company policy at all times.

**What You Bring:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

+ Two (2) to six (6) years of experience in a highly regulated industry, nuclear preferred.

+ Excellent organization, communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.

+ Attention to detail is a must.

+ The ability to lead and effectively manage time between multiple projects.

+ Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office experience.
