**DESCRIPTION** **:**

Tutor Perini Corporation is looking for a **Senior Estimator** specializing in structural steel, inclusive of heavy civil & building structures. The primary tasks would be providing quantity takeoffs and pricing of structural aspects for Heavy Highway, Civil Infrastructure, & Vertical Construction Project Estimates. This position would receive direction from and work closely with the Vice President of Estimating

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Conduct initial analysis of drawings and specifications to ensure required documentation is present and determine scope of work.

+ Develop full-scope estimates based on Bid-Build, Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build or CM/GC construction documents

+ ritically analyze bid documents and understand risk and opportunities and articulate those to management.

+ Participate in the preparation and writing of technical proposals for Alternative Delivery projects

+ Provide detailed quantity takeoff

+ Create detailed crew and production cost estimates and review prices with estimating team

+ Solicit and analyze subcontractor and vendor pricing input when required.

+ Attends project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and pre/post-bid interviews as required

+ Manage and maintain subcontractor database and subcontractor prequalification

+ Build effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer's expectations.

**REQUIREMENTS:**

+ BS in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering, with 15+ years of preconstruction/estimating and/or operations experience on commercial construction projects.

+ Knowledgeable of the following: civil/site construction, foundation and structural systems, heavy civil, highway, rail, & transit structures and the costs of these systems.

+ Able to manage multiple projects concurrently.

+ Strong computer skills including the ability to use estimating software such as OnScreen Takeoff, spread sheets, bid management, online plan rooms and database applications and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook) Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD 3D, and HCSS Heavy Bid.

+ Possess good organizational skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Resourceful and diligent in seeking solutions to problems and adapting to new situations.

**Expected salary range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000 depending on experience.**
