Responsibilities include month-end close reporting and insights, communicating financial results to finance leadership, and providing key support to quarterly Board of Directors meeting and earnings release process. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to influence both peers & leaders, a constant sense of curiosity about the business, strong sense of ownership, and a strategic mindset. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to data integrity.This role is Hybrid - Seattle, WA - will require 3 days in office in our downtown Seattle, WA office.A day in the life---
- Support key internal and external reporting deliverables including monthly close and quarterly earnings analysis to our executive team
- Manage creation & compilation of executive presentations including monthly close, expense analysis, quarterly board of directors meeting materials, and other leadership meetings
- Manage development of insightful historical company and competitor analysis in partnership with key stakeholders in the business
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of retail and general industry trends, practices and issues, while assessing and communicating their potential impact on the business
- Provide ad hoc analyses and special projects supporting finance leadershipYou own this if you have---
- A bachelor's degree in finance or a similar area
- A minimum of 5+ years progressive experience in retail or a similar sector
- Experience building & owning flexible, scalable reports, models & tools that support decision making in a wide range of business areas
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint abilities, including the ability to use complex formulas. Experience with Oracle, Anaplan and SQL a plus
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to influence both peers & leaders
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to data integrity
