Come join us as we build a best-in-class global multi-disciplinary team across artificial intelligence, machine learning, design, advanced software and hardware engineering, strategy, venture investments, sales, marketing, and partnerships.Come join Kohler Ventures as Sr. Embedded Firmware Engineer as we build a best-in-class global multi-disciplinary team across artificial intelligence, machine learning, design, advanced software and hardware engineering, strategy, venture investments, sales, marketing, and partnerships.In your role as Sr. Embedded Firmware Engineer at Kohler Ventures you willWork directly with the Head of Software, software engineering team, and product teamsDesign firmware architecture that can scale with the business growth of Kohler VenturesBuild the forward-looking vision and lead the effort to understand and drive requirements with hardware/software teams.Coordinate with product development teams to execute rollout/adoption of common libraries, services, and patterns.Measurably improve code normalization across one or more critical code concerns throughout the codebaseSkills/RequirementsRequired Qualifications You hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.7+ years of professional software development experience with C/C++.5+ years of experience in software design and development for embedded systems.Hands-on experience developing firmware for IoT and/or medical devicesAbility to travel to South Korea for approximately 2 weeks/year.Availability and wiliness to work outside standard business hours to be able to collaborate with teams across multiple time zones.Preferred QualificationsStrong technical experience with OTA update servicesPrior experience working with Yocto or other embedded Linux environments.Experience in working with common protocols such as RS-485, RS-232, SPI, USB, BLE and WiFi.Expert knowledge of embedded Linux configuration, development, board support packages, bootloaders, kernel, drivers, and application development in C/C++#LI-NR1#LI-HybridWe will consider applicants requiring sponsorship for this opportunity.Theapproved base salary range for this position is $114,500 - $160.000. The actual base salary offered to acandidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety offactors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the worklocation. This position is subject toArea Salary Differential/Cost of Living Adjustment which is 16% of base salary in the NYC metro area. The approved base salary range including ASD for this position is $132,820 - 185,600.
