Kinsa is recruiting for a: St. Food Scientist - Dairy, Dressings, Sauces, Dips and Herbs Location: Sandpoint, ID Area Mission: Our client, a producer of premium sauces, dressings and dips, is looking for a Sr. Food Scientist to add to their team. Successful candidates MUST HAVE experience in a food processing plant environment (and/or other singular qualifier under Competencies/Culture below). Compensation/Benefits: Compensation: 90-125k 10-15% bonus opportunity Medical, Dental, Vision Paid Vacation/Holidays Retirement Benefits Relocation Assistance What you'll be responsible for: Organize and prioritize weekly project load as part of the R&D team, ensuring timely execution of project activities and resolution of technical challenges through collaboration with internal business functions. Manage scientific experiments and product development in the laboratory, including creating and modifying product formulations to meet project objectives and contribute to innovative product platforms in the market. Liaise with internal departments to align and streamline activities necessary for successful project execution beyond the laboratory. Collect and manage quantitative data, interpret and analyze data to provide valuable insights for development projects and problem-solving scenarios, leveraging strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills for efficient workflow management. Support, coach and mentor team of R&D techs while ensuring business goals, deadlines and performance standards are met. Competencies/Culture: Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or related field 3+ years of R&D product development experience in a food processing environment Experience with fluid processing (dips, sauces, dressings, etc.) Experience leading a small team (Project Management appropriate) Working knowledge of laboratory operations (college, industry, and/or medical) Working knowledge of inventory management system Referrals are our best source for the top talent our clients need so if you know of anyone with these skills in the food and beverage industry, please pass me their name and email/phone number, or share this job posting with them.
