Summary:
Wipro operates in all states in the US and has approx. 14,000 employees. The incumbent will be responsible for managing employment law related compliance at the Federal, State and Local level for Wipro across all US locations. Some areas include:

This role will play a crucial role in ensuring Wipro adheres to legal standards and internal policies. You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating HR practices and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires a detail-oriented, knowledgeable professional committed to upholding the integrity and legality of our business practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- The incumbent shall track compliance requirements on an ongoing basis, including changes in legislation. Wipro uses a compliance software, has in house employment law counsel to enable this activity. This position will work closely with HRBPs across the US, global immigration teams and also the shared services team in India.
- In addition to managing ongoing compliance, the incumbent would assess areas of risk, alert management teams proactively and lead cross functional projects to mitigate risk to ensure Wipro adheres to statutory requirements.
- Respond to any employment law related compliance notices and represent Wipro with Federal / State authorities to resolve any compliance matters.
- Ensure an overall effective legal compliance program
- Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence
- Draft and revise company policies or procedures as necessary
- Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify weaknesses
- Evaluate operations to assess compliance risk
- Collaborate with external auditors/agencies and internal HR teams when needed
- Educate and train HR team members on regulations and industry practices
- Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Employment Law with at least 15 years of working experience in the field
- Subject matter expertise in HR compliance and employment law is an essential requirement
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or Compliance Manager
- Experience in risk management
- Knowledge of employment legal requirements and controls
- Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards
- Excellent communication skills
- Integrity and professional ethics
- Attention to detail
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)) is a plus
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills to understand complex policy issues and adapt quickly to changes

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of articulating complex and sensitive information to different audiences
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Working Conditions:
- Work from office 3 days per week
- Occasional travel required (approx. 2 days a month)
