We are seeking a skilled HR Coordinator to step into a high-impact role supporting a fully remote organization. This contract-to-permanent position involves managing HR processes, acting as the first point of HR contact, and ensuring smooth operations in HRIS management, employee support, and orientation. This role requires a proactive and resourceful HR professional who excels in relationship-building and can confidently handle employee requests with tact and clarity. Responsibilities:
- Manage the HRIS system, including employee information updates, data audits, reporting, and system maintenance.
- Conduct weekly new hire orientations, ensure completion of I-9 verifications, and communicate any missing documentation with clarity and confidence.
- Support employee benefits administration, including benefits enrollment assistance, open enrollment facilitation, and addressing employee questions.
- Act as initial HR contact for employees, fostering a welcoming environment while confidently pushing back when necessary.
- Partner with IT on equipment distribution for new hires, ensuring timely coordination.
- Oversee leave management and handle special projects as needed, prioritizing tasks based on urgency.
- Conduct regular audits to verify data accuracy, particularly with benefits providers (e.g., Cigna).
- Utilize Excel for reporting and analysis, including advanced functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Collaborate closely with management, maintaining open communication on process improvements.
- Adapt to a flexible work environment with evolving processes, contributing ideas for operational improvements.
Qualifications:
- BA Degree required
- 3-5 years of HR experience, with exposure to the responsibilities listed.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems; experience with Rippling preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong customer service approach, with confidence to set boundaries as needed.
- Skilled in managing ambiguity; adaptable to evolving processes and structures.
- Experience handling benefits administration and onboarding.
