ResponsibilitiesIndependence Physician Management (IPM), is a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc (UHS). IPM was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Our leadership team, practitioners, and teams of healthcare professionals are collectively dedicated to improving the health and wellness of people in the communities we serve.Position Overview:Supports initiatives for HR Operations across the IPM Division. Provides a broad range of HR support which includes process improvement initiatives, varied, complex, and specialized assignments. Assumes HR generalist support responsibilities in designated IPM Markets including recruitment. Works on key department projects and may handle employee relations investigations as needed to assist the Director, Human Resources - IPM. Supports all IPM employees and managers as the IPM Health Stream Administrator. Supports IPM HR Operations and the division leaders in the areas of performance management, leadership training and development opportunities, systems administration, employee engagement, new employee orientation, reporting, compensation administration, HR training, and responding to employee questions. Must be resourceful and flexible to meet the ever-changing needs of leadership. Demonstrates service excellence and always conveys professionalism with strong motivation to achieve optimum results.Responsibilities and Duties:Works with the Director, Human Resources, IPM to streamline and implement HR projects and initiatives in line with IPM HR Strategic Plan and operational goals. IPM. Focus on identifying areas for process improvement, standardization, and program implementation. Works with leaders and managers on various projects, system implementations and program standardization.Acts as a business partner with managers by providing guidance and recommendations on recruitment and hiring strategies, employee engagement, HR metrics and performance management as needed.Works with field HR to ensure proper systems access. Resolves system administration issues. Builds effective relationships with all levels of management and employees, including market leadership, HR Managers and IPM HR team members. Responsible for assuring that areas assigned meet regulatory requirements.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsCertification/Licensure: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.Professional Knowledge: Strong oral and written communication skills, performance management, and analytical skills. Working knowledge of employment law (federal, state, and local). Ability to multi-task with accuracy and attention to detail. Prior experience in Human Resources in a healthcare setting is preferred. Must be responsive in addressing issues and completing projects that require timely management/oversight.Professional Knowledge: Strong oral and written communication skills; solid HR generalist skills, including experience in recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and employment law. Strong prioritization, problem solving, organizational skills, critical thinking, and leadership skills. Must possess thorough knowledge of the HR standards and guidelines for (not an all-inclusive list) Joint Commission, Wage & Hour, ADA, FMLA, Employment Laws, Civil Rights, and HR policies and procedures and handbook.Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree is required. SPHR or PHR certification highly preferred.3 to 5 years HR in a senior or lead experience.Interpersonal Skills: Interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative environment. Promotes mutual respect and professionalism in working relationships. Able to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Strong customer relations/customer complaint resolution skills required. Must maintain high level of confidentiality.Equipment, Applications and Tools Knowledge: Computer proficiency with MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint to include email, spreadsheets, database entry, and use of various of office equipment- PC, copier, printer, scanner. HRIS experience required (preferably Lawson); Performance Management and Applicant Tracking systems experience desired.Travel Requirements: May attend meetings offsite or conferences periodically.
