**THE HR TEAM:** Nimble and creative, our team of seven runs at the same pace as our editorial and commercial colleagues.

**THE OPPORTUNITY:** Partnering with the VP of HR and the HR team, you will contribute at both a hands-on and strategic level, cutting across the editorial and commercial side of the business. You will help lead various initiatives across compliance, employee relations, communication, development, and more. A tenacity to find creative solutions is an absolute must!

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a consultative partner to the editorial and commercial teams providing sound and consistent advice on HR policies & best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to the HR team.
  • Co-lead employee relations with the VP of HR from intake to investigation, advise and help resolve workplace concerns.
  • Co-facilitate the year-end compensation process to include communication, reporting, data rollout, and collection of trends.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and make recommendations to the business. From rationale to roll-out, present fully developed concepts.
  • Oversight of compliance, reporting, and other people programs for the upcoming fiscal half.
  • Collaborate with other News Corp People teams for joint initiatives (i.e., employee engagement, talent assessments, technology usage); attend Global Community of Practice meetings.
  • Partner with the VP of HR on various people initiatives in flight or set to kick off.
  • Requirements:

  • In-depth understanding of human resource management principles and industry best practices.
  • Extensive experience in employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Exceptional time management and leadership capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with HRIS systems; working and technical knowledge of Workday strongly preferred.
  • Highly self-motivated, eager to dive in without being prompted.
  • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Solid understanding of compensation structures and employee benefit programs.
  • Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Prior experience in media or newsroom environments is preferred.

    Pay-for-performance is a key element in our strategy to attract, engage, and motivate talented people to do their best work. Accordingly, offers extended for this role will include an annual bonus target typically expressed as a percentage of salary.

    Pay Range: $125,000 – $140,000
