Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. HVAC Design Engineer for immediate hire in Lititz, PA. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in MEP design within the commercial construction sector, along with a commitment to sustainable and energy-efficient practices.What our client offers: - Customizable medical benefits starting on the first of the month, including company-paid life insurance and long-term disability.- Company contributions to 401(k) and HSAs.- Company-paid Employee Assistance Program and mental health coverage.- Company-sponsored activities throughout the year for team connection.- Company-provided iPad, iPhone, and ongoing technical updates and upgrades.- Immediate 3 weeks PTO availability.- Generous overtime policy and opportunity for additional spiffs.- Annual tool allowance and safety incentives.- Company-provided uniforms and power tools.- Ongoing training and career development opportunities.- A supportive company culture based on our client's mission, vision, and values.- Quarterly one-on-one meetings with your manager to discuss career pathing, wages, and growth, plus monthly surveys for employee feedback.Key Responsibilities:- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.- Collaborate with suppliers' technical support to identify materials and components meeting required specifications.- Secure stamped drawings and state certifications, working with external and internal resources.Initiate the creation of production BOMs, Material Lists, and Assembly Instruction Sheets based on project drawings.- Consistently provide project updates to stakeholders regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress.- Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering, construction, or extraction projects.- Recommend utility or energy services that minimize carbon footprints.- Design mechanical systems integrated with alternative systems, such as natural ventilation, to improve energy efficiency.- Apply knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes, energy codes, ASHRAE standards, and other building codes.- Lead mechanical HVAC design engineering towards high-performance systems, evaluating system alternatives for increased energy efficiency.- Utilize a detailed understanding of architectural/engineering document production and Building Information Modeling (BIM) in Revit 2022.- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Building Automation Systems and Controls, including authoring sequences of operation and developing design control documentation.Job Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering from an accredited school, or a combination of education and relevant experience.- Minimum of 10 years of MEP design experience in commercial construction.- Valid PE license (PA) and LEED-accredited (Commercial) status are highly preferred.- Proficiency in Building Energy Analysis and ROI calculations.- Knowledge of IBC, NFPA, IRC, IPC, and all other relevant construction codes, including the National Electrical Code.- Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD Construction Cloud.- Strong leadership skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
