PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $134,200.00-$164,000.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $104,200.00 - $194,000.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE:
As a Sr. Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer at BECU, you will play a key role in protecting our organization's most critical assets. You'll not only identify and address security flaws but actively work with product and infrastructure teams to solve these challenges at their core. Your expertise in IAM solutions for cloud and data center environments will help secure user identities, prevent data loss, and ensure a streamlined and resilient security posture. Your assessments and strategic contributions will directly strengthen our prevention, detection, and response capabilities, helping safeguard BECU's digital future.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Tackle New Security Threats: Research and adapt to new and evolving tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) that may compromise user identities and data, creating custom security measures to detect and prevent these threats.
- Enhance IAM Strategies: Support initiatives to refine and advance IAM programs, especially in areas like remote and hybrid workforce access, and automation capabilities.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Partner with customers and business owners to lead design reviews, focusing on integration requirements such as provisioning, de-provisioning, and user lifecycle management within the IAM platform.
- Perform Technical Assessments: Identify privacy issues in internal and external systems, products, and services through thorough technical assessments and help drive remediation activities.
- Shape the Future of IAM: Provide input to strategic roadmaps for IAM systems, contributing to enterprise-wide standards for identity controls, authentication, and authorization management.
- Architect Secure IAM Systems: Provide leadership in designing and maintaining IAM systems that support business and security needs.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Work with business partners to improve visibility into digital asset vulnerabilities and threats, continuously refining our security and IAM practices.
- Foster Team Growth: Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT teams, offering training, mentorship, and service improvement, particularly in data center and cloud technologies.
- Vendor Support: Engage with and support third-party vendors when necessary to support IAM and security operations.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Stay informed about the latest trends in cybersecurity and IAM technologies, ensuring BECU remains proactive in its defenses.
- Project Support: You will be supporting intake of project work from various business units including design, security and other IAM related tasks.
- Be available to respond to pending issues or problems arising during non-business hours and provide support and response.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Business or equivalent work or educational experience.
- Minimum of seven years working with IAM focused tools and technologies in on-prem Active Directory, Azure infrastructure, and Entra ID, with a strong emphasis on cloud technologies.
- Minimum of five years performing deployment and configuration, maintaining operations, and development of documentation.
- Experience with automation and strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) required.
- Proven expertise in modern Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts and best practices.
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree
- Active Microsoft Azure certifications (ex. SC-200, SC-300, AZ-900), CISSP, CISM or equivalent certification.
- Knowledge of or experience in developing processes and flows that support and enhance a secure infrastructure including repair, maintenance and installation of security appliances and systems.
