Investigate and analyze criminal activities in support of operational goals and mission to implement and support Intelligence-Led Corrections (ILC). Provide criminal intelligence analysis to correctional and law enforcement agencies. Assist in the identification of on-going and emerging crime patterns and trends while utilizing data and intelligence collected from restricted sources.THIS IS POSITION IS ONSITE IN ALBANY,NY. **10% Travel Required***Eligible for Employee Referral Bonus*ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties:
- Collect, analyze, and preserve data from electronic data sources, including wireless communication devices, ensuring that the evidential integrity of the data is not compromised.
- Conduct forensic analysis of data retrieved from Securus Technologies Investigative Platforms.
- Develops and maintains liaisons at multiple levels to provide information on criminal activity.
- Support the internal, correctional, and law enforcement personnel by communicating the progress and any issues of all cases.
- Lead complex projects producing and presenting PowerPoints, case studies and advanced intelligence reports.
- Provide training, mentorship, and developmental assistance for Entry-Level and Junior Intelligence Analysts.
- Provide advice and assistance to the team on more difficult or complex cases and assignments.
- Attends and participates in department and other meetings as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Knowledge of best practices and guidelines for processing digital evidence, wireless communication device operating file systems, registry entries, application, and system logs.
- Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, County and/or City statues, rules, regulations, case law and procedures.
- Working knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and procedures used in criminal investigations and analysis.
- Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly
- Exceptional problem solving and communication skills in both oral and written form
- Ability to communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to ask effective questions and present information clearly and concisely
- Strong organizational skills, self-driven, goal oriented with strong time management skills

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED
- 2+ years experience as an intelligence analyst or investigator in a related field.
- 3+ years experience analyzing data, identifying trends and patterns, and developing trend charts, and writing summary reports.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of RF terminology combined with cellular device specific investigative experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Computer Science, or related field.
- Understanding of OSINT, SIGINT, and GEOINT.
- Experience working with a correctional, law enforcement, or military agency performing technical tasks, such as: identifying, extracting, collating, and analyzing data from databases and/or record management systems, operating computer systems to utilize information or typing investigative reports and/or analytical findings.
- Experience with industry standard Digital Forensics methodologies, including evidence handling, chain of custody procedures, and commonly used forensics toolsets.
Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
