It fuels our passion and drives every decision we make.Job Posting TitleSr. IT Software Engineer - GCP (Sr. Data Engineer) - RemoteJob DescriptionThe Sr. Software Engineer - GCP (Sr. Data Engineer - GCP) is responsible for leading the design of technology solutions to ensure they meet all resiliency, stability, non-functional, functional and operational readiness use cases. This position is responsible for owning the technology solutions within their area, including proactive monitoring and alerting, technological roadmap and communication of overall health and future sustainability. We are looking for someone with:Proficiency in GCP services such as Cloud Storage, BigQuery, CloudSQL, Dataflow, AirFlow, Composer and others.Strong programming skills in languages used in cloud development such as Python etc.ResponsibilitiesLead design to ensure the technology solutions meet all resiliency, stability, non-functional, functional and operational readiness use casesLead ongoing development, maintenance and support of existing systems and platformsManage work direction, lead, influence, and provide feedback to other team membersParticipate in staffing plans to identify subject matter experts (SMEs) and provide feedback for staff performance reviewsOwn technology solutions within area, including proactive monitoring and alerting, technological roadmap and communication of overall health and future sustainabilityDrive innovation & continuous improvementOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required5 years of experience with application development or packaged software implementationsMust be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorshipPreferred Technical Qualifications:Experience working with large data models and data architecture principles.Proficiency in GCP services such as Cloud Storage, BigQuery, CloudSQL, Dataflow, Composer and others.Strong programming skills in languages used in cloud development such as Python.Understanding of cloud computing principals, including infrastructure as a service(IaaS), Platform as a Service(PaaS), and Software as a Service(SaaS).Experience working with Google Cloud SDK and APIs to interact with GCP services programmatically and automate tasks.Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes for deploying and managing containerized applications on GCP.Understanding of serverless computing concepts and experience developing serverless applications using GCP services like Cloud Functions and Cloud Run.Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub to automate software deployment on GCP.Proficiency in development tools and IDEs such as Google Cloud Shell, Cloud Code for Visual Studio Code or Cloud Tools for IntelliJ.Additional QualificationsAbility to speak up to address risk and opportunitiesStrong problem-solving and analysis skillsAbility to transition abstract concepts into stable and supportable software solutionsAbility to develop unbiased options and recommendations to technical problems and unbiased comparisonsStrong traits of decisiveness and judgmentAbility to drive innovation and be forward thinkingExcellent documentation skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)Previous experience working an in Agile/Product Delivery modelPrevious experience in PBM / health care industryUnderstanding of security implications of domainMinimum Physical Job RequirementsAbility to travel up to 5% of the timeAbility to work a flexible schedule including weekends and shifts outside of Prime's core business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as needed for technical support and/or project needsConstantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hearFrequently required to reach with hands and armsOccasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouchOccasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusReporting StructureReports to a Manager in the Information Technology departmentPotential pay for this position ranges from $87,200.00 - $139,400.00 based on experience and skills.
