What You Will Enjoy DoingResponsible for overall management and main point of contact for both, multiple accounts, and new business development opportunities, leading all customer management activities as well as steering collaboration between customers and ALPLA Cross-functional team members to meet the company's short- and long-term goals.Account Management:
- Developing account penetration, development, and growth strategy
- Responsible to develop an account plan and increase share of wallet with existing key customers.
- Lead, manage and execute negotiations including developing value propositions.
- Lead contract negotiations ensuring business retention and business continuity.
- Identify and collaborate with decision makers and influencers beyond procurement.
- Coordinate action plans with cross functional teams via strong program management skills
- Responsible for annual sales budget as well as assisting in plant budgeting/forecasting.
- Build partnership across customer organization allowing both parties to extract value.
- Utilize strong technical and business acumen to develop value added business plans.
- Collaborate and lead a cross functional team to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Passion for winning, results-oriented attitude, a thoughtful approach to problem solving, and positive energy.
New Business Development:
- Pipeline management and meeting reports of new business opportunities through CRM
- Selectively target expanding growth in categories that will deliver long-term value.
- Improve utilization by selling and filling existing open capacity.
- Responsible to acquire new customers in target growth categories.
- Manage and lead new request for quotations in its entirely, delivering value add proposals and meeting due dates.
- Building new relationships expanding the network in the industry
RequirementsWhat Makes You GreatQualifications/Skills:
- Minimum 8-10 years of successful sales experience managing at least $100MM in customer wallet
- CRM and Business Plans knowledge
- Experience working with large national accounts
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Strategic Thinking
- Proactive and sense of urgency
- Microsoft Tools and Excell and presentation skills
- Effective communication, negotiation and selling skills, written and oral
- Highly professional
- Works cross-functionally both internally and externally with customers
- General plastics packaging industry knowledge
- Solid technical aptitude with regards to resins and manufacturing process
- Ability to travel up to 60%
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree (Engineering, Marketing, Packaging are preferred)
